Today was the first snowy day here in Israel (well, I didn't see much snow from where I live, but there are some colder cities like Jerusalem which were covered in white), and I think it's the perfect timing to share with you my snowy nail art!
For this design I decided to stamp white snowflakes over a textured base. I chose Zoya Nyx as the base for this nail art and stamped the snowflakes with Konad's White stamping polish. The plates I used are Bundle Monster BM-323 and Gals GA41. To preserve the textured effect I did not apply a top coat over this design.
I found that Zoya Nyx was a quite sheer for me, even with two coats, so I decided to layer it over a light blue base. Lucky for me the color on the nails turned out to be pretty close to the color in the bottle, so I was pretty happy with it eventually.
I really like this textured effect combined with the snowflakes stamping, it sparkles nicely and really makes me think of snow covered places. I love how this macro shot shows the texture of this polish and even of the stamped design that has a bit of texture too. I don't know if you can see the glitter in the polish on the nail, but it was very sparkly in the sun, which unfortunately didn't really translate to the photos.
Zoay Nyx is a pale dusty blue with a textured effect. It has a jelly like base with fine square silver glitter, and once dries it has a sand/sugar texture. This polish was one of the first colors that Zoya released under the Pixie Dust line, their textured effect.
I wasn't sure if I loved this color at first, and when I saw it was relatively sheer I was a bit disappointed, but when I tried it with a similar color underneath I instantly loved it!
Although it might not be my most original design, I really loved the final look and I think this polish gives a nice touch to my snowy manicure.
