I've been wanting to do this mani for SO long, and is there a better timing than the new season of Dexter to do this? I guess not. So I finally did it!
It's my first time ever doing the splatter mani, and I prefered the less messy option (I'm kind of OCD so cleaning all the mess from my fingers wasn't an option) so I went for the decals option which looked quite nice and clean.
I used this great tutorial from Spektor's Nails which is really easy and fun, so if you haven't had a chance to try this by now, you totally should!
So my splatter mani is inspired by Dexter which is one of my favorite shows ever, and I'm thrilled that it's back. the thing is, I didn't see the new episode yet so... no spoilers please :)
I really love how it looks but it is quite thick on the nails so it bugs me a little, and I'm not sure you can see it but the wraps I made are a bit pulled upwards because of the not-so-cool Seche Vite (which I stopped using generally but I though I'd give it a try again - not a good idea. It shrinked the hell out of my bloody wraps!).
Cutting the wraps around the nails wasn't as easy job as I thought it would be, but the cleaning part did a great job so no complains there.
I already have so many ideas for DIY nail wraps and it's just so fun! I have made another decal with other colors that I can some other time.
So.. Are you a Dexter fan? Have you tried the splatter mani already? Please share! :D
